The Royal Sutton Coldfield Community Town Hall Trust Launches New Logo

The Town Hall is thrilled to finally announce the reveal of its new logo and not only that, the beginning of a new era for The Royal Sutton Coldfield Community Town Hall Trust.

The Royal Sutton Coldfield Community Town Hall Trust serves as more than an arts venue; it’s a vibrant cultural hub committed to providing inclusive and enriching experiences for all. Our mission is to foster a welcoming environment where every individual, regardless of background or ability, can find inspiration, connection, and joy through the transformative power of the arts.

Why The New Logo?

Because it’s time to move forward. We are an ambitious venue, and we felt collectively that to reflect who we are as a venue, that being a place that produces; professional and amateur productions, dance and youth theatre shows, a place where you can hire our historical rooms and tailor them to suit your special event, whether that’s a birthday a wedding or a baby shower. We also offer community events including our community cinema, Heritage Day as well as charitable events - to name but a few! We offer a lot of services, and this is just the beginning of an exciting future ahead but in answer to the question, we wanted a logo that reflects who we are as a venue, today. We are creative, we are artistic, we are memorable, and we are collectively ‘us’ and that includes you, we are a community. We have chosen the regal colour of purple to reflect our much love town, The Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.

A HUGE Thank You to BrookoStudio

The design and fruition of the new logo simply would not have been possible without Paul Brookes, Creative Director of Brooko Studio. Paul volunteered his time and professional skill set to produce this wonderful logo free of charge as a gift to the town hall. When asking Paul, why he wanted to give-back to the Town Hall and Sutton Coldfield, he said:

“ As a Sutton local, I've always wanted the best for the area. There's exciting developments like the new cinema and town centre revitalization, along with the Town Hall's promising offerings, I saw an opportunity to create a logo that truly reflects the town's character and aspirations when asked to contribute to the rebranding. I'm excited to deliver a brand identity worthy of Sutton.” - Paul Brookes, Creative Director, Brooko Studio”

Our Very Own Theme Tune by David Lowe.

Last night, The Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall welcomed the celebrated composer David Lowe (pictured) for a rare glimpse beyond the TV screen with his show ‘Secrets behind the TV theme’ on Thursday 25 July.

David Lowe, who was born in Sutton Coldfield, has created iconic television themes such as BBC News, The One Show, The X Factor, and The Olympics, with his work gaining attention on social media and even being remixed at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival but he has now gone on to create an iconic piece of music for our very own Sutton Coldfield Town Hall’s new logo launch! We are ecstatic and what’s more, is that you as the community helped compose the finishing touches as David Lowe asked for participants to choose the final notes. It certainly was a night to remember and one that will be forever grateful for as David Lowe volunteered his time to support The Town Hall at this charitable event – Thank you.

The Town Hall is a Charity.

The Town Hall is on a mission to raise the awareness of the fact that we are a charity. It relies on the generous donations of the public, donors and sponsors to keep the building operating.

The icon Edwardian building was originally council owned but in 2016 our board of Trustees saved the historical building and had the vision of opening the doors and turning it into an arts venue and that, they have succeeded in. To continue the legacy, we would be very grateful if you could support your town hall by donating today.
