The cast of Robin Hood helped to open the very exciting 22-day Sutton Coldfield Christmas Market today and were joined by the Sutton Coldfield Business Improvement District (BID) team as well as Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP who cut the ribbon whilst announcing the following:

“I am proud to open this fabulous Christmas market, in the royal town of Sutton Coldfield town centre as part of the  rejuvenation, rebuilding of our town centre, evidence that we are on the move and it can’t come quickly enough, it is well and truly open”

- Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP

The crowds cheer and the brass band by the ‘King Brasstards’ begin to play ….

Everyone claps and dances along to the music. You can suddenly smell the delicious food and treats of the sweet and savoury that wraps itself around community and as you look around, you can’t help but feel the Christmas spirit as the community comes together in the beloved town of Sutton Coldfield.

Whilst in town, Panto did bring a Christmas cheer to the locals passing by posing for a couple of photo’s with some of our favourite retailers, Toys4You and of course, they dropped by the very yummy Silvertree bakery.

Join TaleGate Theatre, the team who brought you 2023’s Jack and the Beanstalk, for the merriest panto in the land: Robin Hood!

This Christmas we transport you to Sherwood Forest as our hero robs from the rich and gives to the poor. Expect songs, slapstick, silliness and the most dangerous archery competition you ever did see! Will Robin Hood rescue Maid Marion from the clutches of the money grabbing Sheriff of Nottingham? Find out in this traditional family pantomime riding into Sutton Coldfield Town Hall for December 2024!
